ERMS auditing is used for system evaluation by organisations of many sizes and industries.

Auditing is often utilised for a rigorous pre-certification assessment of a firms’ safety management system prior to evaluation against a recognized standard (such as AS/NZS 4801). This trial run allows the firm to minimise the risk and expense of failing to fulfill the requirements of a certification audit. It can also enhance internal audit requirements.
